1. Who we are

Skedify ("we", "us", "our") is a booking management app for Shopify merchants. Contact us at [email protected].

2. What data we collect

• Merchant data: Shopify shop domain, staff names, service definitions, availability settings.
• Customer data: Name, email, phone number — only what the customer provides when making a booking.
• Booking data: Appointment date/time, selected service, assigned staff member, payment status.
• Intake form responses: When a service includes intake questions, customer answers are collected during booking and stored alongside the appointment.

3. How we use data

We use collected data exclusively to:

• Schedule and manage bookings for the merchant.
• Send booking confirmations and reminders to customers.
• Sync appointments with Google Calendar (when enabled by the merchant).

4. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with:

• Shopify — as required for app operation (orders, checkout).
• Google — only if the merchant connects Google Calendar.
• Microsoft — only if the merchant connects Outlook Calendar.
• Email provider — for sending booking confirmations, reminders, and review requests.
• SMS provider — only if the merchant enables SMS reminders.

5. Data retention & deletion

Booking data is retained for the duration of the merchant's subscription. Temporary booking holds expire automatically within minutes and are permanently deleted.

When the app is uninstalled, all shop data — including bookings, customer information, intake form responses, staff records, and settings — is permanently deleted.

When a customer data deletion request is received (via Shopify's GDPR webhooks), we redact all personal information (name, email, phone, notes, intake answers) from matching bookings while preserving anonymous scheduling records for the merchant's operational use.

Customers can request deletion of their personal data by contacting the merchant or by emailing [email protected].

6. GDPR & data requests

We comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/redact, shop/redact, customers/data_request). To submit a data request, email [email protected].

7. Cookies

Skedify uses only strictly necessary cookies required for the app and the booking widget to function. No advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies are set by Skedify on this marketing site or on merchant storefronts.

• Session cookies — used to keep merchants signed in to the Shopify admin app.
• Locale cookie — remembers your selected language on this marketing site.
• Booking widget — uses short-lived browser storage to hold a slot during checkout. No tracking identifier is created.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary, no consent banner is shown. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will request consent first.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via the app dashboard.
